My question is What perceptions do UTPA students have about women with tattoos? I chose to do surveys for my primary research. I want to survey as many students of all ages both genders, and paraprofessionals as many as I find willing to take the time and tattoo artist. I hope to get candid responses to my questions. I hope people don't have hesitation when writing their responses.
ReplyDeleteI think I will find that many female students are going to be the ones that have a stronger opinion about women that do have tattoos especially when it is in an area of the body that is more visible. I think the male student may be less complex in their responses and have less to say. I think for men maybe it more simple they either like tattoos on women or they don't.

I plan on using surveys for my research because I want to get as many opinions as I can and I know surveys will be the best way to do so.
ReplyDeleteI will focus on college students since my questions deals with grammar and spelling in writing so college students will be the best fit. I will also give surveys to students who's first language was not English to get a better idea of how they've been affected. If possible, I would also like to get the opinions of some high school students because they are just as affected as college students.
I expect for most students to have similar responses because I see that a lot of students, myself included, are affected by modern technology when it comes to our grammar and spelling.

DeleteI plan to use interviews for 2 professors; 1 male and 1 female. These two interviews will have four open questions involving what their idea of procrastination and how serious it is now. I also plan to use surveys for 30 students; 15 male and 15 female. These surveys will have 4 closed questions plus one open question.

Delete1. I choose interviews because I believe they are more personal and I think ill be able to get the information I need.
ReplyDelete2. I choose the student population because my research is more focused on students .

DeleteMy project is on rhetorically reading music and I think I would do interviews because I think I would get information out of it. I would interview parents and also interview teens on what they think about music talking about sex. The answers I would expect to get from parents would be that they didn't know it was about sex and from teenagers maybe that they don't care they just like the beat.
ReplyDeleteFor my project, I will be using a survey with possibly 1 or 2 open ended responses as my primary research to see how electronics play in role on note taking in a classroom setting. I don't feel like an interview is necessary and by doing a survey, I can get a greater number of response in a shorter amount of time.
ReplyDeleteThe student population is going to be my focus, but my main target is finding those students I have in my classes who do use electronic devices to take notes. I feel like there response towards using electronics to take notes will be positive, and maybe encourage other people to try it out as well.
